hCG levels... I'm confused! - Miscarriage & Still Birth Message Board

I finally got my bloodwork results. The nurse said my levels were at 63, but she didn't say what this means exactly. They want me to come in this morning to have more bloodwork done to "make sure your levels are at 0", I suppose this means I did miscarry.

But, just for my knowledge, what does the "63" mean? Is that high or low or...?
I would have been 5 weeks pregnant when the bloodwork was done on Monday.

Below are some guidelines for normal HCG levels. As you can see, it's a very broad range. So 63 would be on the low end for 5 weeks but still within the normal range. The main thing would be to see if they go up at your next blood test (should double every 72 hours if you're pregnant). That will be the best way to know for sure if you have miscarried (in addition to an internal U/S).
3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml

I found that same info doing a search online but I was confused by the broad range of those numbers. Thanks for the clarification!
