How Long??????????

I had my second miscarriage on Aug. 31. I am just waiting to start a period. How long does it take to start again?? On my first miscarriage it only took me 26 days. I have read it can take anywhere from 2 - 8 weeks. I am on day 27 and I am ready to have a period so we can have a few more test done to see why I am having miscarriages and I am ready to start trying agian. We have already found out that I have abnormal blood clotting and we have already taken steps to fix it. I guess I am just having a bad day. We have been trying for almost 2 years and I am getting frustrated!!!!

Re: How Long??????????

it is so frustrating on top of the pain of m/c to wait for your cycle to resume normality....thinking of you for that!
It is between 2-8 weeks I also think - after my last m/c in July i got first AF on 5th September, so around 6 weeks, and that took some patience, thought it would never happen.
Good luck with the tests and TTC again xxx

Re: How Long??????????

Yeah I was wondering the same thing after my m/c in the beginning of june...by week five I was like umm okay any day now right...by week six even though I heard that it can take up to 8 wks I had a certain suspecion, intuition which became confirmed after dollar store preg test. But as you know I lost that baby after 13 wks 6 days...Both the specialists I have gone to said that getting preg so fast after each m/c is not a good thing. They said my uterus might not have been ready to nourish a baby and I should have healed more. I sort of wish we did. How many weeks has it been for you? Although we had three m/c in a matter of months.....I know the wait is so hard especially when I was pregnant, we started to make plans about after the baby was born for our summer vacation back to Boston and my best friends wedding ..... But now there won't be a baby and I have this feeling those trips won't be as fun. They will be lonely. I hope you get your period soon so you can try again. Good luck to you.

P.S. Will they put you on Heparin or baby asprin for the clotting? Did you do clomid as well.

Re: How Long??????????

Thanks Ladies for sharing your experiences. Today is 4 weeks. I guess I will just have to sit back and wait. Maybe my body just needs a little time to get back to normal. We have already started baby aspirin, folic acid tablets and we will start Lovenox when I get pregnant again. Last time we got pregnant I was on 100mg of clomid ( 4th round) and we did IUI. We are having a hard time getting pregnant-- I had endo stage 2 and husband has low sperm count and morph. Good luck Ladies and I will keep ya'll in my prayers.
