Yes, from what I've been able to read. It's a shedding of the lining just like a period, but it will probably be heavier depending on how long you were pregnant.

You can ovulate as early as 2-4 weeks after you start bleeding.

Technically no. A period is when you shed your lining because no pregnancy has occurred. When you miscarry, your body is not only shedding the lining, but also the pregnancy. You will bleed more heavily and it will be more painful. My first period following my miscarriage was very very light. In fact, in only lasted for 2 days. I believe it was because my uterus had completely emptied itself when my pregnancy failed.
