Miscarriage and severe changes in body temperature

Hello. I have read that pregnancy can cause changes in basal body temperature, and that there is sometimes a drop in temperature following a miscarriage.

But, I am curious as to how severe this can become. Is it possible that after the fetus' heart stops beating and if the miscarriage goes undetected for a couple of days that severe changes in body temperature can occur--even to the point where such changes become life-threatening to the mother?

Thanks...
