Possible miscarriage happening
My last menstrual period was November 22 2009. Going by that I am 8 weeks pregnant today. I have been having some cramping on and off the last couple of weeks but no bleeding. Yesterday I had cramps and spotting. I went to the hospital and the doc said my beta levels were low. He said they looked more like 5 weeks. I go for more tests tomorrow to see if the levels are rising and also for an ultrasound. My periods sometimes are irregular. I'm wondering ( hoping )if i could be less pregnant than I thought. I took a home preg test on Dec 28 and it was positive then. If I had intercourse on Dec 20 would it show up just 8 days later on an inexpensive at home preg test?

I figured I would update just incase some of the information can help someone else. It turns out it was an ectopic pregnancy . I found out on Jan 18 and had an operation that evening. They did a laparoscopy and didn't have to remove or cut the tube. I'm healing now physically and hopefully mentally. I will see a psychologist next week at the hospital where the procedure took place. I am sad and dissapointed but I know things will get better.
