Partition in uterus

At 30 yrs.old, I had a miscarraige. My D&C completed; back to work I went. 3 days post D & C , I went fishing with hubby. I took one look at the ocean and vomited. I went to Doc and I was still pregnant after D & C!!!After vaginal ultrasound, after 10 yrs.of miscarraiges, I was born with a partition -basically making a 2 sided uterus. It explained how my blessed baby fought to survive through a D & C. Anyone ever hear of this?

Re: Partition in uterus

Yes, I have heard of this.
I don't even think it's all that rare. I've spoken with several women on the internet who have this condition.
Apparently it increases your risk of miscarriage and preterm birth, yet most women with this condition can give birth successfully.
In fact, I've read several stories of women with this condition being pregnant with two babies at once, who are not twins: one in each side of the partitioned uterus.

So, from that perspective, you're potentially capable of doing something that ordinary women can't do: carrying two babies at once who aren't twins.

I wish you the best of luck in having a child, if that's what you want.

Re: Partition in uterus

Yes, my step sister has one and has suffered two miscarriages. It is alot more common that people think and can sometimes result in two seperate pregnancies developing on each side of the uterus if two eggs are released and fertilized.
