could i have had a miscarriage without knowing i was pregnant.

hi does this sound like i could have had an early miscarriage.
Myself and my partner have been trying to concieve for about 5months.
The other week i felt really strange in myself like i had to be careful and protect myself also i was going to the toilet more frequent and feeling sick everyday. My partner said he'd noticed some changes in me i.e how i was feeling daily and he sense that something was different.

I work in a nursery so naturally my job can be abit rough at times when the children decide to jump on you. On the friday of that week i had 3 children bundle on me and i felt a pain in my abdomen. I didnt think anything of it until the saturday then all weekend i had awful stabbing pains in my abdomen. I'm too scared to ask my doctor what it could be incase they tell me i've had a miscarriage!

PLEASE HELP!!!
