Mom thinks I have mononucleosis with only 3 symptoms

I know I've been complaining like a little whiny helpless baby the past 3 weeks...I apologize. But anyway, I'm to see my physician Friday afternoon to find out what in God's name is the matter with me.

My mom told one of her co-workers about my symptoms, and they suggested I could have mononucleosis. So I did a web search, and 2 of the early symptoms and 1 of the later symptoms apply to me:

Early symptoms:

- headache

- muscle ache (in left foot and calf)

Later symptoms:

What I believe to be swollen lymph nodes in my groin area

............

I know I discovered the one lump on the left side of my pelvic area about a month ago, but now I've found 4 more in my entire pelvic region. They hurt with pressure, but two of them (one on each side) hurt in general - the original one hurts when I sit down, and the one on the right hurts when I run. Go figure that one.

I've had the headache nonstop for almost a month.

.........

But I don't have the fatigue, sore throat (though at times it feels like acid coming up into my throat O.o), chills or fever, jaundice, rashes, or abdominal pain.

............

Could I have mono with only 3 symptoms? And if not, what else could cause these ailments?

Also, is chest pain related at all to mono?

.......

Yeah, when I had mono the main thing that made me go to the dr was how sore my throat was.. most times with mono for some reason you get strep throat first. The fatigue and loss of appetite were also big factors.

Re: Mom thinks I have mononucleosis with only 3 symptoms

What you have doesnt sound like mono, due to the fact that youve had these symptoms for weeks and no fever or sore throat has come up.
U never kno, u might have mono, so just go get a blood test and ull soon find out.
And no, i dont htink chest pain is part of mono, but im not 100% sure =)
