Treating long term mono with IVIG

My child has now tested positive for all 3 antibodies for mono/epstein barr since January (9 months now). While her energy level is much better than it was, she has had a sore throat the whole time.

Now the immunologist is consulting the ID doctor about IVIG treatment to kill those antibodies (which should be long gone by now.)

Has anyone else experienced this, or know anything about the IVIG treatment? I'm concerned and frustrated.

Thanks!
