I've been feeling very ill almost 2 months now

, with fatigue and muscle aches / pains. Finally I got back blood test results today and it shows POSITIVE for MONONUCLEOSIS TEST, QUAL. Am I right in assuming this is the Heterophile Antibody Test and that a positive result means currently active mononucleosis? Is this aka the 'mono spot' test?
What has me confused is that it is said that usually mononucleosis is associated with an elevated WBC and in particular elevated lymphocytes. I had two blood tests due to feeling sick, prior to the mono test, and both times the WBC were well within normal range at 8.2 (first time) and then at 8.0 (second time). Both times lymphocytes were also within normal range, and even on the lower end of normal, at 1.37 (first) and 2.4 (second). I also do not recall ever having swollen lymph nodes, or prolonged fever, which I hear is typical of mononucleosis.
My question is, is this still pretty consistent with an active mono infection? Should I be concerned that my WBC/lymphocyte counts were not elevated? I wonder if anyone else has a similar experience. Thanks.
