| Easily fatigued... related?
I had mono when I was 17, and I am now 39. Ever since then, I easily get fatigued. If I don't get 8 hours of sleep every night, I get sick. Every time it's the same thing: sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, phlegmy cough with a little metallic taste to it, general fatigue/achiness/malaise. It's usually when I've gone about three nights with less than 8 hours of sleep. It doesn't seem to be related to my diet or activity levels, and I am very active. Lack of sleep is always the trigger for this particular thing, and as I recall, these are similar symptoms to when I had mono. These incidents happen a couple of times per year. I have them now, and as usual it came after a few nights of not enough sleep, plus I've been under a ton of stress lately.
So, my question is...is this related? Is my immune system maybe a little compromised because of having mono all those years ago? I've never known anyone else who has this problem.
