Exclamation Mono/alcohol

I was diagnosed with mono two weeks ago to the day, but i had been really sick with it for a week before that too, now i'm feeling completely fine just a little bit more tired then normal so i sleep a few extra hours a night but today is my birthday and my friends still want me to go out for a few drinks with them, has anybody had mono and had maybe 4 or 5 drinks with it, i'm not going to go out and get drunk because i'm clearly not all better but i'd still like to do something for my birthday.

Re: Mono/alcohol

Did you have a few drinks? Before I knew I had mono, I felt sick every time I had a drink -- like champagne brunch. Even one glass and I would be sick for the rest of the day -- with that woozy mono sick feeling. Not just the regular mono tired.

From what I have read, alcohol can bring the mono right back if you are not completely recovered. Because I hate that woozy mono feeling, I'm not drinking anything until I'm certain it's gone.
