Ok so I posted recently and since then my Doctor called and said my EBV test was positive for a current infection. I haven't seen the labs myself but I'm supposed to get them in the mail soon.

Anyhow-- how long did your fever last? My fever is so odd...(which is why I'm afraid it is something worse than mono) In the morning, my temp is normal (97.6-97.8) then about 2-3 hours after I'm up...I shoot up to 99.1-99.6!!! I stay that way most of the day with a couple 98.8's in there...and then around 9-10pm I plummet back down to 98.1 or so.

I also just had 2 nights of night sweats. I am so scared that this is something other than Mono...

I only had a sore throat for like 2 days... (I know that not everyone gets a sore throat)

Anyhow--what if this is a reactivated EBV? If it is...why would my immune system be so low that it reactivated?

Just concerned...this low-grade fever has been for weeks and weeks. Now the night sweats? Terrified :-(

When will it end???!!! Or will it ever end? And why does the fever come during the day and leave at night/morning?

Your EBV levels will tell whether this is acute (new) or reactivated. Fever is common, and it is normal for fevers to go up in the afternoon and be normal in AM. I wouldn't fear this as long as your IGM antibody is positive. Mono symptoms can last 6-12 weeks so as long as you are in that time period, you should get better and feel well again. Night sweats are common in mono too. Just take is easy, rest, and you can post your labs if you want when you get them for comment and reassuance.

My wbc is normal ... that's a good sign I hope.
