Does this sound like MS? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

Hi All!

I am looking for any help to see if anyone else has the same syptoms (or close to it). I am a 36 yr. old female. My symptoms are as follows:

1. Numbness in big toes ( all the time)

2. Numbness in legs and hands (not all the time)

3. Lump below right rib cage, that measured 10 cm x 5 cm at the doctors'. It is painful and the pain radiates to my right shoulder blade, lower back, and mid to lower front abdomen.

4. About an hour after having a bowel movement I have leakage from my anus thatt is a brownish color (very embarrassing!), then I have to go to the bathroom and wipe myself and it does get on my underwear. There is some itching and once in a while a sharp pain in my anus.

5. Very tired all the time

6. Feeling of fullness on right side

Does this sound like MS?

My doctor sent me to a surgeon and I have an MRI (with dye) scheduled for Monday. He is looking for a costal mass and a spinal mass. Anyone else have these symptoms? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Natalie

Hi Natalie --

Some of your symptoms...numbness, fatigue, bowel problems are certainly those sometimes of MS, but the masses/llumps are not a symptom I've ever heard associated with MS...unless they were from injected meds and then they are topical.
