Could I have MS?
I have been reading up on MS and I feel I have many symptoms. Since I was 18 (I'm 23) I have had a problem with fatigue. I have also had severe lower back pain, seen "Flashers"(A total of about 5 times), and been generally unbalanced, unable to concentrate, and weak.
Everything got worse when I had my son at 19. After delivery I could barely walk for a week because of my lower back pain. I know you're suppose to have pain after having a baby but this was extreme. I have had it on and off since I was 18 and it always seems to get worse around the time of my period.
I have had severe constipation for years and only go 2-3 times a week, and very little when I do. I have also started to leak urine when I cough, sneeze, and sometimes laugh. This has happened when I felt no need to urinate.
My fingers go numb and are cold if touched to my face. My feet fall asleep alot. Usually they just go numb, but I've also had "Pins and Needles".
In church when we stand to pray I feel myself rocking back and forth slightly, and I have to sit down because I feel I'll fall. I get extremely dizzy.
I forget what I was saying, if I asked a question a few minutes before I won't remember and will ask again, and have trouble remembering the time frames in which things happened.
I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for years and am taking paxil for that.
I talked with my mom on the phone this afternoon and she made me feel like a complete hypocondriac. She said if she went reading about ms on the internet she might convince herself she had it, too.
I know something is wrong. I would really appreciate any advice. I have no family doctor but was thinking of having my obgyn refer me to a neurologist. Thanks so much for taking the time to read all of this.
