I am experiencing a new symptom and I hope it is all in my mind. I am sitting and all of a sudden the upper half of my body does this twitch, like a sudden movement. It has happened at least three times today and and a few times this weekend. Has this happened to anyone? What kind of movement is this? Is this something that I should bring up to my neuro?

Hi Adriane,
Absolutely you should! Don't know if it is the same thing that I had. I had several seizures where I started shaking and then my body went limp. I am now taking Neurontin, which is an anti-seizure medication, to control them. These seizures occurred several years ago. I haven't got them recently.
I've read that, although it is relatively rare, MS can cause seizures. Please investigate this with your neuro.

Thank you for your response, Royal. I am sorry to hear about the seizures. I hope the neurotin is helping. I don't think what I am experiencing is a seizure (at least I hope not). It is more like a sudden jerk and that is it. Is that some form of a seizure? I'm not trembling either.
I am hoping on the 20th I will have my answer (results from brain mri done after lesion in spinal cord found and having evoked potential testing done at that time too). It has been a long drawn out ordeal.
