Help!

I just got a VEP done and I really think it has messed with me. I feel like I'm off in Never never land. It's really hard to concentrate on things. I just got home and I can't even describe the feeling. It's like I'm here but I'm not, I hope this makes sense. Has this happened to anyone else after they have had the VEP? I'm wondering if I should call the doc? I'll wait and see how long the feeling last......Wish me well! MichelleRose

Re: Help!

A VEP is a visually evoked potential test. I have strobe lights in my peripharel vision. My neuro. ordered it for me. It test the electrical potential along the optic nerve to the brain. MICHELLEROSE

Re: Help!

Michele
I had to have a VEP and they found out that i had optic neuritits thats how they found out that i have MS. I never got any of these feelings that you are experiecing so maybe you may want to consider calling your doc. let me know if you do or if they just go away on there own.
Thinking of you
Angie

Re: Help!

THANKS FOR YOU CONCERN ANGIE WELL I WAITED THEM OUT (I'M NOT A BIG FAN OF ANY DOCTOR) THEY ENDED UP GOING AWAY ABOUT 4 HOURS AFTER THE TEST. WHEN I DO GO BACK TO THE NEURO. I WILL MENTION IT TO HIM. I MIGHT HAVE JUST BEEN HAVING AN EPISODE, BUT IT WAS VERY MUCH A COINCIDENCE THAT IT HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER I HAD THE VEP. BY THE WAY HOW LONG AFTER YOU HAD YOUR VEP DID YOU GET YOUR RESULTS, IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING? THANKS MICHELLE

Re: Help!

Hi Michelle
No I don't mind you asking it was about two days and then they told me about mine. How long ago did you have yours done? What were your symptoms?
Hold in there and let me know what you find out.

Re: Help!

I just had mine done on Wednesday. My visual symptoms are strobe lights in my perpheral vision and at times I have blurred vision in my left eye. Other symptoms are extreme fatigue, I have pain, weakness, tingling and numbness in left leg and right arm, burning in my right upper left thigh area, when i walk it feels like there is no cushioning on the bottom of my feet. I have started having balance problems, and a drunk feeling (which wouldn't be so bad considering ) I had one bout of incontinence. All this since the end of July, I also once had heart palapitations and chest pain but none since then. Thanks for you info. I hope I find out as quickly as you did!

Love, Michelle

Re: Help!

Oh I forgot one important syptoms and no wonder I forgot! I have a very hard tome concentrating and I at times lose my memory. It takes me awhile to think about what I want to say. This doesn't happen all the time but enough to make me crazy!
