Hello,
I seem to be progressing more lately,I wanted to ask if anyone has spastic hand?I know what spastic is,not sure what it feels like,my right hand is real tight and when I open it,it feels like my skin is stretching or tearing ligaments.Just a new one to write in my book,LOL,GOD bless all of you and this board

Re: Spastic

I haven't had that yet so I'm not sure what it feels like either but I do work in a Rehabilitation hospital and the patients who have severe spasticity are usually contracted and can't open their hands or legs, so maybe you have a mild form of it. I would keep working that hand though so it doesn't become worse. Michelle

Re: Spastic

Hi dessell:
It's been awhile. Yes I've had spastics in my hands and arms. The one in my left hand my thumb folded over to my little finger and stayed that way for about 40 min. I didn't fight it. Then about a week ago my my left arm went spastic it bent up to my bady and my hand curlled under. I had become use to the spastic knots in the mussels and how large they got but this is something new.

Re: Spastic

Hi,
Anseay and Michelle,I don't think mine is severe, just something new and strange. My sons CP is spastic but he can open his hands,I think its more like tightness.I would probably freak anseay if mine did like you did,has it ever happened again and how often?Wish you well

Re: Spastic

Just a couple of times, no stress, no reason, but it's like I said I have to look at ms as a joke and not let it eat at me. I'll call my sister, laughing and say "Guess what my body is doing now. I do that because she has no conception of the dease (you know the hourse with blinders on) No I don't freek! Whats the point, where is that going to get me. I like humor. MS is a joke and rather funny. What am I going to be like today?
