| mini strokes in optic nerve????
hi all. i havent been around much, just trying to get my mind off the whole medicalstuff. i saw the MS specialist today as a second opinion and he wants my neuro to do all these other tests to see if i am having mini strokes TIA's in my optic nerve. Angiogram of the brain, some type of flouroscopy of my optic nerves and a clear set of pictures of my middle back. and lots of bloodwork ups. He also said i was getting a "band"? Referring to my mid back and all the muscle stiffness I have been having. I have had surgery last March on my lower back. I guess he wants to make sure there is no other possible cause for my recurring optic nerve damage. It is a little frightening to be honest. I am supposed to go in to the hospital on Monday for IV Steroids and he told me to take 4 aspirin as soon as I get home and 1 every 6 hours in case I am having one of these strokes. I have a genetic clotting defectt in my blood that is supposed to be clinically insignificant, so I really hope I am not having serious clotting problems. It would be soooo nice to have a simple and classic case of something. All I know is I feel sick and weak and my optic nerves have severe damage. Just venting...
