I have read in a few different sources and had a neuro tell me there are some common ailements that are seen in most MS patients:
1. cold sores
2. sinus problems
hi sunshine,
i get cold sores twice a yr like clock work....... seems to be change of seasons, i have had supposedly sinus infection 3-4 x's a yr for the last 12 yrs id say.......... im so often on antibiotics, its sickening...................... i didnt know these were common ailments......... thanx
I have suffered from cold sores all my life. When I stressed I get them, when I go in the sun I get them and sometimes they show up just for the heck of it. I also am now suffering from a sinus infection that wont go away despite 3 different rounds of antibiotics. HMMMM! All this on top of MS symptoms.
I don't get cold sores. . and not really prone to sinus infections, only had one and that was 5 years ago. . and what I did then was flush my nasal passage with warm salt water, worked like a charm after a few days. . hurts a little - little burny. .
Since the last - and only major - episode last May I've had non-stop sinus problems. My PCP originally thought I had a sinus infection, then the numbness set in pretty hard core. It lead to my diagnosis so I can't completely complain... I guess... maybe. Ok, I can complain sometimes.
