Has anyone experiencesd gradual feet shrinkage? My shoe size used to be 9, now it is 7.5 It took about a year and 4 months from the onset of illness for it happen. I stopped buying shoes. I'm just wearing layers of socks. I have no muscle wasting anywhere in my body that I know of. If anything I'm stronger than before. help!
How could shrinking feet be associated with MS?? If you're stronger than before, you definitely don't have MS. You'd have worse and more symptoms than that. I suggest you go to a podiatrist (foot doctor).
Strange. Have you lost weight?
I heard recently that pituitary tumors can cause feet and fingers to grow. Perhaps there is something going on with your pituitary?
I am sorry, had I known how to report the comments I would have. It was early and I was not feeliing well and I let it get to me. I won't comment like that again. What buttons do you hit to make a bad report? Thanks
Thank you Julie. I swear I looked for that earlier and didn't see it. Now it is right there big as life LOL.
As for the feet shrinking. Mine have not gone down in size but most mornings I get up and it feels as if the muscles around my feet have shrunk and are too small. Very painful in the morning and sometimes after sitting for a long time.
Well according to my neurologist as of this week: It is a common occurance! I am yet to meet anyone who had this happen to them, that's why I'm posting everywhere!
He stated that my feet muscles are shrinking. Ofcourse he didn't explain how would the process of wasting and atrophy start from the foot up. As for going to a foot doctor, been there done that, he stated that it is possible that the neurological disorder is affecting the whole muscular system.
Do you think (anyone) this applies also to shrinking in general? I have gotten shorter. I used to be 5' 7.5 and I am an inch shorter now.... I am only 30 and was diagnosed with MS 8 years ago.
