sore muscles

Hi, just wondering if anyone has sore muscles for no reason.
I'll wake up with extreme sore muscles from the waist down.

It's not tender spots, it's all the muscles from the waist down.
Feels like if i had been ran over, that kinda thing.

Last a couple of days then leave just as quick as it came.
Anyone expirence this please respond back, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

shannon

Re: sore muscles

Hi Shannon....Yes right now my worst symptom is sore muscles. Mine are all over though. It feels like I went 10 rounds in a boxing match! In fact they have been bothering me so much I signed up for an exercise program and am going 3 days a week. I figured if I was going to hurt all the time I might as well have a good reason for the muscle aches. It really comes and goes, sometimes warm baths help. I try not to take too many meds like aleve or tylenol but sometimes I just have to. I know exactly what you are feeling........hope it gets better for you...hang in there......Deb

Question Re: sore muscles

so this is not just my imagination??
Ever since the numbness left - still comes and goes, but quickly - I have had pain from my neck down to my feet....almost feels like muscle cramps/spasms. At first I thought that it was all in my head because I'm still a little off-balance from the diagnosis, but this morning I felt like I could barely get out of bed. Then I saw this post and was so thankful! It's horrible to have little to no information from my docs. I have muscle relaxers, but they aren't helping. Am I just a wimp, or do your muscles hurt this much??

Re: sore muscles

No you are not a whimp!
I wake up with extreme sore muscles at times, for no reason at all.

The weird thing is it leaves just as quick as it comes.
It doesn't gradually leave it just leaves just as quick as it came.

Usually last a couple of days.
Oh my i'm starting to repeat myself, I'm gonna go take a nap.

Take care.

Shannon

Wink Re: sore muscles

Hi Shannon,
I've done what Deb is doing, going for exercise. I've been going for over a year now and it really has helped with the soreness and the spasms. I go first thing in the morning (3 times a week) and am pretty much shot for the remainder of the day, which is frustrating. Some days I just can't go and some days I get there and barely go thru the motions, but all in all I have to say it has been beneficial. I think I have a natural aversion to exercise, but can't blame the ms for that!

Re: sore muscles

The only thing that has worked for me to relieve chronic pain is acupuncture. Exercise does give me a temporary release of pain.

Re: sore muscles

Hi everyone
I have to hand it to all of you who exercise, I know how hard it is to get started
and finish for that matter.

You are right yoga would be a good one to do. I actually bought the yoga workout kit some time ago.

I really would like to yoga, Its just hard using up all the energy for it.
I have 3 kids. 13, 11 and 9 yr olds.

I feel like i have to use my energy on them. You should be proud of yourselves
for exercising, most healthy people don't even exercise.

Thank you all for the quick responses.

Take care.

Shannon , try to make a little time for exercise your kids will know why your doing it , even if you just try some stretching in the morn ahd evening to start with say 10 mins each for a month. When you fell the benefits it makes it worth while,
you dont need to go mad even when your standing i would look down ahd reach my arms hard down for 10 secs 3 or4 times ,just wee things can make a lot of a difference
