Symptoms? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I don't know what's going on with me and was hoping maybe some of these symptoms sound familiar to someone. I've been very fatigued. I can wake up real groggy and then get my composure a little bit to do something and then I instantly start getting sleepy again. I mean, sometimes I sleep all day. Then I keep getting these headaches that last all day no matter what I take for them and my eyes hurt when I get these headaches also. I was having some pain in my hands and thought it was arthritis but that has stopped recently. I keep dropping things and it's becoming very noticeable to my sister. Sometimes my balance is off and the other day my right hand was trembling when I was reaching for something. Do any of these symptoms sound familiar? I'm in the process of changing doctors so I haven't had a chance to get a checkup or anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Have you had your thyroid tested? A low functioning thyroid could cause those symptoms.

You really need to make an appt. with your new doctor and have him run some basic tests. Your symptoms are pretty general and could be one of several things.

I have alot of these symptoms too. My mother has them too ( she has MS). I don't know what all of the symptoms are though by the time we found out my mom had MS she was told she would never work again.
I do not have MS but think I may be having some of the symptoms and some are the same as yours, you have listed.
I am not sure why but, I have posted twice but no one has replied to either of them. I guess maybe i will try another board who have people who can spare a moment to give a littlw wisdom or advise.
Have you had any tests done? Have you been to the doctor? I had a MRI about 2 yrs ago and it was normal. They didn't want to do anymore tests and told me I was depressed. My fatigue was so bad that I had to quit work for 2 1/2 years. Now I only work part-time. My eyes also hurt and that makes me get a headache. I also have had a lot of blurry vision (mostly in my left eye) and the list goes on and on. I know that there are other conditions that can have similar symptoms too. Let us know what you find out. Thanks for the responses. I'm still in the process of looking for a doctor so I haven't had any tests done and have never had an mri before. I'll keep you guys posted.
