what do the "spots" on your brain look like?

A brain MRI revealed spots on my brain that might be MS (according to the report). So I've been preparing for that diagnosis and have been pretty optimistic about it. I saw an MS neurologist yesterday, who looked at my MRI pictures and said he's pretty sure it is NOT MS because my spots are small and perfectly round...he said MS spots are usually larger and elongated and closer to the middle of the brain. I have more than 8 of these small spots that are scattered throughout.

So now I'm back to "OK, WHAT is going on with me!" He is doing some bloodwork to check for lyme disease, Sjogren's, and a bunch of other things.

I'm just wondering if any of you looked at your MRI's and what your spots looked like. What size and shape were they? Where were they located? Thanks!

I had four just like that. whew. nice to know I am not the only one. I posted about it I believe. I also have two lesions on the spine. You?
I was thinking lyme as well since som many of these symptoms mimic MS and others.

I don't know if I have any on the spine. Did you have an MRI of the spine to check for that? The doctor didn't mention doing one of those; I wonder if I should ask.

This is all a little confusing...

What symptoms are you experiencing? I had tingling and numbness all over my body come on all of the sudden, so the did MRI of brain and spine.

They even thought it may be metastatic tumors, but ruled that out quickly with blood tests and other tests.

I have tons of symptoms, but mainly spasms all over, some tremors in legs, dizziness, occasionally blurry vision for only a few seconds at a time, some hearing loss/ringing in ear, sharp stabbing pain in my head and I could go on forever!

Have you looked into lyme at all? I know you said they are testing for that. Almost every symptom of MS can be caused by lyme. I am leaning towards lyme myself.
Have you had a lumbar puncture yet?
