Leg Pain? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I would be forever grateful for those w/ MS to describe their leg pain. I do not mean the numb-tingling...I mean the throbbing pain.

Those w/ leg pain, please send your input as to where the pain is, which side, how far down the leg and if anything seems to trigger the pain to be worse or better.

Hi One Cent L..

I have had the leg pain off and on. Most recently, it has been the backs of both thighs cramping. I have also had deep, seemingly to-the-bone pain in both calves. These are not leg "cramps," they are entirely different and more painful, even waking me at night.

I have recently begun having deep pain in the sides of my thighs.

Don't really know what brings it on. I've been taking it easy because of the summer heat, so I don't think it is over-exertion OR heat. I have had these pains in the dead of winter also. My internist suggested secondary fibromyalgia.

thank you for responding, kelli, i appreciate it. still doesn't sound like mine, but i am sorry for your pain just the same. it's a real "pain", huh?

i have leg pain alot,,,, i have alot of pain all over but it's been getting worse in my legs,,, it feels like someone took a hammer and beat my bones with it like they are broke,,, for the most part i just grit my teeth and bare with it and have vicodin and percocet to take for when i wanna do something with my family such as a cookout or a family outting and i would like to enjoy myself somewhat instead of being in such horrible pain the whole time.

bless your heart. i need to be more thankful for my discomfort not being worse than it is. plus it's just one leg that is so painful. i am thankful for that and i will set here and count my blessings.
