No dx, more tests, more possibilities

I was all happy happy when I left neuro's office. LP was mostly negative for MS. EPs were actually better than average. Blood was mostly very good. So I hopped on line to try to learn more about the new blood tests she ordered. She's testing for multiple myeloma. She mentioned it, as well as a benign condition that is more commonly indicated by monoclonal banding and elevated WBC (those were my "hits" on the LP).
She also mentioned Lupus and MS is not out of the question, another MRI in 6 months. For now the new blood tests and an EMG.
I'm a little cranky now. Need to get more info on this new direction.

Re: No dx, more tests, more possibilities

Can't blame you for being cranky...you'll be in my prayers! I'll email over the weekend. It's going to be 96 here Sunday with a projected heat index of 105. I'm going to church, then I am going home and setting the AC. I'll have more time then...

Re: No dx, more tests, more possibilities

I approve of your plan, it is certainly the only sensible thing to do!
I'm less cranky now. Tests are, as always, to rule out everything else. I have to say I really didn't expect a dx today, but one can HOPE!
