I have had MS for over 20 years. Just this last year my knees have been giving me trouble, such as, locking up, giving way and popping and cracking when I walk. My mobility is limited and I don't know if it's from my knee problems or the MS. Any ideas out there?
I've Had Ms For 23 Years And My Left Knee Has Been Giving Me Problems.....swelling, Popping And Somtimes Giving Out. Don't Know If Ms Or Old Age. I Know The Same Feeling You Have.
Horrible isn't it. I am going to make an appointment with Orthopedic Dr. to see what can be done. Hopefully just some simple exercises. Good luck to you.
I have had left kne probelms for several years. Giving out, lack of supprt, and muscle cramps. Now that I have been Dx with MS I beleive that it is connected to my MS. My neuro feels the same way.
I never gave any thought to my MS being the culprit concerning leg cramps. So good to know that other people are having some of the same problems.
Thanks and good luch to you.

One of my main problems is my left knee. It gets very stiff when I walk even short distances, and it gives way all the time. I am 20 years old, so I dont contribute it to old age... I was thinking it is MS related. But when I am overdoing it and not taking breaks in between walking, by the end of my journey every step I take is one where my left knee buckles back completely. It's like the muscles surrounding the joint arent strong enough to keep it from extending that far back.
