My uncle has MS and I asked him this same question and I'd like to know if more of you have this problem with MS. (I have not heard from him yet, I just emailed him tonight)
I started having these muscle spasms about a year ago. They started out as
simple muscles having regular spasms that most people get, then they
started getting worse and then I started having these weird spasms that
streaked across and in a diagonal direction on my thighs. Now, they have
progressed to jerking movements. I have jerks that have rolled me off the
bed, pick my foot up off the ground and move it, jerk my hand up and over,
my jaw has been jerked to the side and back, my arms are the worse and I
have tremors that can get serious. My head jerks, my fingers, my toes, and
I even get spasms in my rib cage.
Do any of you have this with MS?
Thanks and God bless
every person that I have met in my life has brought with them a lesson. I may not have enjoyed the lesson learned, but I have always enjoyed attending class.
My goodness, have been to a doctor yet? I personally have only had small muscle twitching, but that's just me, everyone is different. I would see a doc and get a referral to a good specialist. There are lots of things that could be causing that I would think. Best of luck to you. Make an appt. soon, cause sometimes it takes a while to get in to the specialist.
mine started out a few yrs ago just mild spasms and twitching,,, now it's bad and goes clear up my back into my neck in diff places,,, i take baclofen for them and it works,, it's a musle relaxer for multiple sclerosis.
