What's your most effective pain med?

I'm still waiting on a dx while my neuro is on vacation. Meanwhile I still have dizzy/forehead and eyebrow pins&needles every morning and I can't function for about 3 hours. I need a job and I need to function, so I'm shopping for a med that will let me drive to work and function. Post your med and how it helps you: every time I turn around it seems there's another drug and I can't keep up with it!

Advil LiquiGels. I should be the national poster child for Advil. It works for me within 20 minutes and helps relieve the pins & needles and inflammation that causes dizziness. Advil plus Antivert are awesome (for me!) for dizziness associated with inflammation in the forehead area.

As far as pain, herbal therapy and acupuncture have rid me of ALL chronic pain that I've had for years...
