Rebif

Hi, I'm paula.

I was diagnosed with MS a couple of months ago and I am trying to choose the best medication for me. I was wondering about taking Rebif. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences of Rebif? Thanks.

Re: Rebif

Hi Paula
I've been on Rebif since November, and I've not been on any other meds, so can't give you a comparison. I haven't had any problems with Rebif......just make sure that you take Ibuprofen at the same time as your injection. I forgot twice and had hellish side effects. (flu like symptoms)
Have a good day!

Re: Rebif

I was very apprehensive about starting Rebif, but all in all everything was okay. I had very few side effects---always premedicated, still do, but I only take 1 Advil.

I've been on it over a year and now shot nights are just part of my routine.
Some people have flu like symptoms, which usually lessen over time.

Best of all, my latest MRI showed no new lesions.

Best of luck on your decision.

Re: Rebif

Hi Paula,

I was dx'd in Feb 2005 and started Rebif in April. I was very aprehensive. I'm tolerating it well. I was taking 2 advil's, I'm now taking 1. The only side-effects I've had a 2 eposides of the chills abotu 6 hrs post inject. I did have some slight nausea, fatigue when I went on full dose. I notice the side-effects are greater when your body is not at it's best - tired etc. I'm actually going off the drugs to have a second child. All in all it has been a better expereince than I imagined. Good luck....
