AVONEX or BER OR COR...is it dangous????? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I have recently heard about people having bad if not dangous reactions to the drugs....pasting out and waking up not being able to move at alll......or being rushed to the hostipal.....and dieing......question has any one else heard these things? I now have heard about 3 cases in the past month.....thanks cutz

I haven't heard anything about anthing like that... I take copaxone everyday. I stay away from any new drugs per my nueros suggestion though, he had sent me to a MS specialist and they said I should start (I can't remember what it was called, It was a chemo type thing that started with a N) Anyhow, it was pulled after a trial because it was too dangerous. I'm glad my neuro told me not to do it until it had been around at least a year. Anyhow Copaxone, Beta Seron, and Avonex, have been out for quite a few years. I don't think you have anything to worry about or they would have been pulled long ago. Any medicine you take has risks, but it sounds like your letting people work you up.

i agree with iluvsiamese i have never heard of such a thing either and i have been on avonex,, was on it for a full yr,,, copaxone for a yr and a half and now been on betaseron for a yr and 2 months.
