DOES ANYONE HERE SUFFERING WITH THIS MIND TWISTING, LIFE CHANGING CHRONIC DISEASE CALLED MS OR PROBABLE MS OR POSSIBLY MS OR MAYBE MS, U GET MY TERMINOLOGY. SUFFER WITH ANY FORM OF ANEMIA????

Asked The Question Because Me Niece And I Are Having A N Intellectual Conversation On Ms. She Believes That Anemia Has Something To Do With It. She Believes That It May Be That Because There Is A Decrease In Red Blood Cells And Not An Even Amount. But Tell Me If There Were An Even Amount And The Immune System Decidied To Go Crazy, Wouldn't It Still Do It??

Mrs. K, I have had a couple of blood tests where my white cell count was quite low. I started taking iron on my own (then quit when it came up) and my dr (PTP, not neuro) was not concerned about it. I have not read or heard of a connection with anemia and MS but anyone's theory is as good as another, since no one seems to know what causes it. You might google MS and anemia...see what you come up with...

I Actually Did An Anemia Search Here. And Just Like I Was Telling Her. There Is No Connection. I Have Anemia But My Neuros Never Mentioned It. And When I Asked Said That The Two Had Nothing To Do With Each Other So They Never Mentioned It. Told Her, But She Is Like Her Aunt. You Can't Tell Me I'm Wrong When I Feel Strongly About Something.

Then She Goes Ok Aunty. I'm Saying Maybe Because You Have Anemia, It's More Difficult For You And Some Others Who Do Have It.

She Think She's Slick. Lol!!

i've never heard of a connection - but maybe she is thinking about "percious anemia" which is where the body can not absorb b12 - often creates MS like symptoms and sometimes misdxed.
