Question for Bowogo or others - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

Bowogo, I remember you saying you are an RN. So, I have a question. How do the doctors feel when you have done your own research and you take in a list of questions, ideas, suggestions, etc?

Any other med. professional may reply to this also. I wonder, does it aggravate them (who cares?) or do they smirk and patronize you, or do they all giggle over the joke at the water cooler?

I have 2 sisters and a sis-in-law that are RN's .They always help in writing out questions and different meds that can help with my treatment.If my DRs get tiffed it's either written on a paper or I'm bringing them with me.We ain't all gonna fit in one room.Some DRS are iffy about it,other's welcome it with open arms,especially after they have seen patients all day.How do I know they don't have brain fog.
My neuro and neurosurgeon gets tiffed the most.I always ask them if they are insecure about the knowledge,I explain that everything is wrote out so that I don't forget anything and that way I don't have to have frequent appointments.
