| To all the pros out there.
I was told my spinal MRI was normal. I picked up the report this morning and this is a bit of what what on it...
Was told that spinal MRI came back normal. Got a copy this morning and this is a bit of what is written. Cervical:
Incidental note is made of partial empty sella.
There is reversal of cervical lrodosis.
End plate sclerosis is noted at C3-4
C5-6 demonstrates disc space narrowing. There is posterior osteophyte formation with associated disc material. Mild narrowing of the anterior spinal canal is noted. End plate sclerosis is noted. Thoracic:
Postcontrast scans are compromised by artifact.
Small areas of increased T1 & T2 signal within vertebral bodies likely represent focal fat.
Smal paracentral disc bulge at T8-9. Lumbar:
Rounded area of increaed T1 & T2 signal at the L2 vertebral body is noted, likely represent focal fat or hemangioma. Smaller similar area is noted at L4 vertebral body. Mild facet joint hypertrophy is noted.
L2-3 demonstrates small focal central disc bulge.
L3-4 shows disc desiccation.
L4-5 demonstraes slight disc dessication.
The interpretations were DDD. I've Googled the "end plate sclerosis" and have found nothing. Search for "focal fat" only came up with localized deposits in the discs. Any ideas? Would DDD cause memory problems and the eye issues? I don't think so.
Thanks for your help gang,
Lisa
