Once you leave your current ins they will give you a HIPAA coverage continuation {I think that is what it is called} form that you give to your new ins carrier, that form will state your termination date with them, as long as 63 days have not passed from that term date, to your effective date with the new ins then pre existing will not be an issue. This is actually something that the Gov't has done for us, it doesn't matter if you are going from COBRA which is continuation of your current coverage that you pay the full amount for [which can get a little expensive] to a new ins.
This was my job for 15 years so I am pretty well versed in ins lingo
Have you looked into medical ins for your business? When a business is small it can be difficult and expensive to obtain med insurance, I suggest that if where you live there is a Chamber of Commerce then have your business join that, because sometimes you can obtain your ins under the chamber.
It has be very exciting running your own business and I wish you nothing but good luck with it
Also good luck with Copaxone, I have been on Avonex for just about 1 year and so far no relapses.
Hope this info helps
