disclaimer statement

hello everyone,in the past few weeks I have replied to some posters, in what may have been an inappropriate way.
There seem to be some here, who have not yet received a medical diagnosis of MS. To those I encourage following through.
I was diagnosed in June 2003. promptly went with an abc drug, which I gave 1 year, then stopped. Reason simply being that I did not seem to adjust to the side affects, and could not inject myself. My wife did not like it anymore then me.
I have taken provigal and ridalin for fatigue. These drugs seem to have mixed results. But I was able to make it through my work week, with some difficulties from time to time. But co-workers noticed a change, and expressed concerns.
before this gets longer, please to you that have a diagnosis, build a comfortable support team, of friends, Drs, other health professionals, IE YOGA. This seems to be easier to do, if you do not have to hold down a full time job, and have gobs of money. At the risk of agitating some, PRAY.
To those who are guessing, get a dr. appointmnet, and find out.
Keep your body in as good as shape as possible, fine tune things.
Good Luck,
GOD Bless

Re: disclaimer statement

Well, I didn't see any inappropriate replies from you so I don't understand. Hope you aren't leaving, I think it is important to get as many perspectives as possible...

Re: disclaimer statement

How does one persist in getting a diagnosis when you don't meet the McDonald Criteria? My clinical presentation was "1 attack / 2 lesions". Additional evidence needed before dx is "dissemination in time demonstrated by an MRI or a second clinical attack".

I had a 2nd MRI 4 months after the initial attack - no changes. What is the recommended time in between MRI's? 6 months or 1 year? Or should I just wait for that 2nd attack?

My internal medicine doctor has dx "probable MS", but my neuro states "I don't think you have MS".

Others have told me to get a new Neuro, but I actually liked the guy and I don't know any other neuro that would be persuaded to deviate from the McDoanld Criteria here in San Diego.

Re: disclaimer statement

Good advice. Thank you.

Believe me, I am tired of guessing. I am trying to be persistent to get a dx, but it's difficult. I think the people around me are starting to think I'm full of you-know-what (that, or I'm crazy). I've doubted myself recently, but with this recent bout of dizziness/crazy vision/pain, etc... that started a couple of days ago, I no longer think I'm crazy. I'm not going to let anyone else try to tell me that I am. It was like my body's way of saying "Look, I'll prove to you that you're not imagining this stuff." (Thanks a lot, body, by the way) LOL!

So, YOGA is working well for you? I used to do that a few months ago. I still get the magazine . Maybe I should try to get back into it. Friday morning I really, really wanted to go for a jog. I got myself psyched up and then it clouded up and rained for the entire day! What was THAT all about? Must have been a sign, because a few hours later I started having problems. I guess it's good that I didn't go out jogging.
