"Lazy Eye" is neurological! - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I had an "Ah-ha" moment when I recently read that amblyopia is a neurological problem because it only reappeared after my MS was discovered (I had successful surgery as a child to correct the problem). And I had another great related discovery when I read that it is correctable in adults (contrary to what I was told by a specialist five years ago). Of course, it requires time and effort, not surgery-- but MS has made me nothing if not willing, determined, persistent, etc.

Can you point me to the information you came accross regarding lazy & and MS? I was a "lazy eye baby" requiring surgery prior to my 2nd birthday, and come 32 years later I've been diagnosed with MS..

A friend of mine recently quoted one of those TV doctor call in shows where the doctor likened the severe effects of diabetes on the eye to babies born with MS..

My curiosity is hightened becaue I have relative some 10 years younger than me born with identical eye symptoms..

Actually, *I* made the connection to MS. Go to [url]www.lazyeye.org[/url] and read what they say. When I read about the neurological aspect, I made the "jump."
