Hi Jasiusmom! Sounds like you have your hands full! If you've done any reading up on MS, you'll know that it can mimic many other diseases and each person has a different set of symptoms which make it very difficult to diagnose. Many of us with MS went for years feeling "not right" with odd symptoms coming and going. We know our own bodies best, so if you know there is something "wrong" you need to be pro-active. Find a neurologist and explain what's going on. I had two brain MRI's done, 12 months apart, and a spinal tap (along with a dozen other neurological tests) not just to look for MS, but to rule out other illnesses as well. The process can be a long, frustrating road, so patience must be your best buddy. Don't let any doctors convince you that it is "stress". I was told for years that I was just having stress and anxiety attacks and some Prozac would solve my problems. I wasn't convinced, and kept pursuing medical opinions until I found the right doctor who took the time to really listen to me and in about 14 months of every test in the book, he did, in fact, find that I have MS. Sorry to be long winded, but I can see you are frustrated and wanted to share my experience. When I heard my diagnosis, I was actually relieved to find out I wasn't imagining things and was not crazy. If its been a year and a half since your last MRI, you should get another one for comparison. All the best in finding what you are looking for. Take care - Sharon Grace
