that I had THEE most painful IV put in today. Never had I experienced so much pain when getting an infusion as I did today. I could feel the nurse moving the "needle" around trying to get into the vein about 4 different times. And this was in my hand, where there is no fat, which I think made it more painful. OUCH! Is all I have to say! 1 more to go next month... I think I can hang in there!

(BTW... It's 12:30 am and there is no signs of me falling asleep anytime soon!

I'll be hurtin' tomorrow!)

Sorry about the pain, hate it when it takes more then one try for an IV!!

the first day i did the IVSM drip they stuck it in my hand and it hurt like crazy.. anytime i moved my wrist it felt like i was being stabbed all over again.. on day 2 i made them move it to my forearm and didnt even notice it was in.. i am pretty lucky in having really fat veins and they have no troble finding them.. but i do have a friend that has very tiny veins and they had to dig for them and can only seem to find them in her hand..

Nurses always tells me I have very good veins. I don't know why this nurse always wants to put the IV on the top of my hand, but I don't say boo.

I thought when people talk about "being stuck" more than once it means... put the needle in, Oops, didn't get the vein. Take it out, try another area. But oh no... She didn't get the vein so instead she wiggled and jiggled it around in there until she found it! OUCH! Not fun! I could feel every reposition of that needle inside my hand as she moved it around.
