Welcome Horsegal! So sorry to hear you are going through all that. A double whammy of MS and Diabetes! You have every right to be STRESSED.

Those MS flare-ups can be very scary. I had a nasty one last spring. My right side wouldn't work. My right arm went numb, just flopped over and quit working! My legs wouldn't hold me up, wobbled and lost my balance (even standing perfectly still!!) And my left eye was a blur. Yep, I was scared. I went on IV steroids and oral steroids and hated every minute of it. But, here I sit, one year later, typing with my good old right hand!

All my function came back eventually. I do admit that my stress level was getting the better of me these last few months and I started on an anti-anxiety drug for which I am grateful. I function much better now. As for the MS and five years info - NO WAY! You can read all the medical journals and they will tell you that we MSers have a pretty normal life expectancy. We may have our physical challenges along the way, but the disease does not shorten the life span. Stay in touch. I hope things start looking up for you. Take care-SharonGrace
