I see a lot of members say that many other conditions mimic the symptoms of MS.
Could somebody offer a list?
I posted my symptoms a few days ago. I requested my family doctor refer me to a neurologist, but instead he referred me to a group of specialists in 'internal medicine'. Perhaps he thinks I have one of those 'other' conditions that mimic MS?
Here is an excerpt that I cut and pasted from a website:
It is critical to exclude other diseases that can mimic multiple sclerosis, including vascular disease, spinal cord compression, vitamin B12 deficiency, central nervous system infection (e.g., Lyme disease, syphilis), and other inflammatory conditions (e.g., sarcoidosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome).
