Can anyone help?

Okay, now I have posted this on two different forums, with no responses at all. Surely this is not so odd that no one has ever experienced it? The following is my post:

This is the second time this has happened in 2 weeks. I do have an MRI scheduled, but am pretty nervous.

My head will vibrate physically for about 5-10 seconds and then I'm horribly dizzy for the rest of the waking day/night and then wake up in the morning EXHAUSTED! Happened again last night so my dr. ordered an MRI plus to see a N/E/T specialist.

I'm still a little dizzy even. Any ideas on what this could be? I normally post over on the back forum as I do have some neck and lumbar issues as well. Might it be from my neck? My GP said no.

Thank you!

So, does anyone else have this? Is this a "Simple Partial Seizure" do you think?

I've done a little research on these and I did suffer a head trauma but it was when I was 16 or 17 (a diving accident and suffered a concussion) and I am now 50. That said, I have had episodes of being dizzy for just seconds and then it passes. That's been going on for about a year or two and only occassionally.

My beloved Golden Retriever suffers from GM seizures and seeing him go through this, I'm very concerned.

Anyone have any thoughts? I'm still tired and a little dizzy from my last episode which was I think last Thursday the 1st. Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone???

Haven't heard yet on the date for my MRI yet. But, seizure activity won't show up there, will it? The other addition to this mix is I do have a 1/2 brother with debilitating MS.
Thank you so much for any responses.

Re: Can anyone help?

It's hard to say. MS can definitely cause dizziness but so can lots of things including heart problems and mini strokes.

I think an MRI is a good place to start. Maybe also ask you doc if an EEG would be appropriate.

Re: Can anyone help?

I had a terrible dizziness problem back in January that endured into February. Like you said, it involved a "vibrating" sensation. It felt like my head was buzzing. The dizziness was continual for days on end, then it would go away for a couple of days, then come back again. It was horrible and my neuros at the time blamed it on a virus or headache "auras." I have recently switched doctors and have been told that the episode probably came from an active lesion on my brain stem or cervical spinal cord, where the majority of my lesions are. You might get a better idea of what's going on after you get your MRI results and maybe you can ask the neuro about the location of any possible lesions (if you have them.) Good luck.

Re: Can anyone help?

Thank you so much for replying, Sunshine & Poopie.

My MRI came back normal. I'm glad, but frustrated as well. With contrast also came back normal. But, had another incident Friday night and this has me really wigged out.

Have a balance test through the ent which will show "short circuits" if any and other problems as well. That's on the 22nd, but I'm going to call Monday and see if they can't get me in sooner. 3 episodes in 3 weeks is too many for my liking! Actually, 1 in a lifetime is far too many!

Poopie, tell me about your vibrating head. Mine will last only seconds - 10 was the longest I think and probably 5 the shortest. It would be interesting if someone would be with me to actually see if it's physically vibrating or just the sensation. There's almost a sound with it in my brain. Anyway, thanks again, both of you, for replying.

Re: Can anyone help?

What does the vibrating feel like?.. is it like a cell phone vibrating?.. Im so bad with explaining my symptoms,, I feel something in my head but I describe it as static or some form of chills,, but maybe it is really the vibration feeling that I hear so much about.
