has anyone experienced retinal migraines associated with MS? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I was diagnosed 8 months ago and still have not had any relief from my syptoms. First symptoms were numbiness on whole right side of body. now i have girdling around my waist, pain in all limbs, severe vertigo and now I was diagnosed from a neuro-opthomologist of having retininal migraines which caused total blindness in my left eye for a few hours accompanied with severe facial pain. is this a common occurance?

I have migrains just before I lose the vision in my left eye. The pain is on the left side and when the pain ends I lose my vision. My doctor dx me with ON. Today he done further testing and it showed further degeneration in my vision in my left eye. He wants to talk with my PCP because I am diabetic. They all seem to just want to wait and see.

Tired of hearing "wait and see, but come back in a month for a recheck." Sorry just frustrated.

I had an episode today where my vision went while I was driving. That scare the h--- out of me and my son. Just one more thing to deal with.

Talk with your PCP about what the optho has to say and maybe he has some suggestions to help with the pain. Hope this helps some.
