Need some help(leg numbness) - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

I am new to the diagnosis of MS , but not the symptoms.I need help figuring out if I'm headed for an attack or not.

I was fine this morning but after an afternoon nap I have complete numbness on the outside of my legs from the knee's down on both sides and my right heel is numb.My first 2 fingers on both hands are numb.They are numb!!! I took a pin and poked the sights,didn't feel a thing even when it bled.

I seen my neurologist yesterday and all was fine.He increased the baclofen from 5 mgs 3 x a day to 10mgs 4x a day and work up to 30 mgs 4 x a day and the zanaflex from 4 mgs to 8mgs 4 x a day and the quinine 325 mgs to 2 x a day instead of once. SPACTICITY IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

I called his answering service and there response was go to the ER!!!!Not a good night for that,going to a cook out to celebrate the announcement of my new grandchild thats do in FEB.My first grandbaby.Boy am I excited.

I do not care for the neuro on call,he's a jerk.If it persist then maybe.
Is this an attack or just lingering from the last attack 6 months ago.I have primary progressive ms and currently not on MS meds as neuro don't think they'll help.

Toni, sorry I didn't check board last night, hope the cookout went alright.
I can only tell you that my numbness comes and goes, can just pop up out of nowhere, and can go away just as suddenly. But I do notice that when I'm feeling stressed SOMEthing always goes numb!
If its still there today, call somebody!

Lilc,

Cookout was great,didn't stay long,usually stay to help pick up.

Numbness is still here and now in both hands,really off balance.

I have no stress,all is well for a change.

Talked to Neuro's answering service,I can go to ER or wait till neuro is in his office tomorrow.
