brain cysts - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

Does anyone know anything about cysts in the brain.. my mri results showed a small benign cyst.. nuero says everything is fine.. no need to worry cysts dont cause any harm... still says all my symptoms will go away on there own and symptoms arent from the cyst.. guess he still thinks Im making all my symptoms up!! think im gonna get another opinion! but i could use some helpful info on cysts! I still think i have ms or fibro or something along thoses lines based on my syptoms! I hate not knowing what is wrong with me!

I'd get a second opinion!Have you read the radiology report?

I didnt read the report.. I do have copies of the films...I would like to see the report, but usually the doctors wont give it to you , only anther doctor.. at least that has been my experience.. but I did get the name and number of a really good group of nureos.. so Im trying to make an appt. there... but every time i call I have to leave a message and so far no one calls back... Annie,

All you have to do is call the diagnostic facility and ask for a copy of the report.They can not with hold these from you,these are services you paid for.Get your medical records from all of your DR's ,that way when you see a new neurologist,test aren't duplicated and it will speed up the diagnostic process.Keep a journal of all your symptoms dates and times they started and if and when they continue.

Toni, thanks for your advice, i went to radiology place and got a copy of the report.. also had one sent to my pcp... after reading it doesnt sound so bad,, says a small pineal cyst.. which Ive looked up and it says they are fairly common and usually dont cause any harm... I still dont know what is wrong with me.. my stomach feels worse every day... and I feel flu like.. does ms cause flu like symptoms... I dont have a fever.. just that all over sick painful feeling... I dont want to eat anything and have lost 5 pds in less then 2 weeks.. which is not normal for me...I wake up every day with a bad headache and the pain in hip and knee is horrible....and the fatigue is driving me nuts.... Now Im thinking about lymes.. the test was neg.. but i wonder if it could have been wrong.. Im not sure what to do.. i did get an appt. with new nuero.. should i still go to him?? or should I see if I can get retested for lyme at my pcp?? thanks, Annie
