My New Neuro asked that I get my report from my Other Neuro and I had the report faxed to me. I am amazed at the things the things the drs. don't tell you but write in your reports to your pcp. I meet the McDonald Criteria but he doesn't diagnose me with MS "my course is atypical". Does that mean that I don't have enough MS symptoms or that this can still be lyme's or strokes or something else? My methylmaloric acid is 254 and that is related to b12 then i found b12 at 321 I don't understand those readings. I really don't understand spinal puncture report. Does anyone have any ideas about this. What does it mean when my alk phos is always high. Maybe someone out there knows something about this stuff. Thanks for and advice you might give me. Love to all. Lily
Besides your blood test what exactly does your Lumbar Puncture state. It should have on it if there Oligoclonal bands present,IgG index or myelin basic proteins.Do you have your MRI reports, the information you gave is a little vague.
Toni,
Thanks for helping me. My IgG is 651 ref 456-1540, IgA 167 ref 33-394, and IgM is 247 ref 35-270. the report states the IgM quantity may be falsely stated (reg blood work). CSF IgGsyn Rate -0.4 & No Bands No oligigoclonal bands were identified in this pts CSF when compared to their corresponding serum sample.
I have white matter changes and multiple symptoms which are consistant with or suggestive of MS. (Neuro Notes) My MRI states that i have 25 small periventricular high signal abnormalities in the subcortical and deep white matter bilaterally in the frontal and parietal lobes. More than one juxtacortical
lesion and more than 3 periventricular leasions thus she meets the McDonald's criteria for MS; however, her course is decidedly atypical, and her current exam is normal.
My ssep impression Left side appears normal. Right side, N10 is absent, suggestive of peripheral pathology with normal central latencies as well as a normal N13-N19 interval. I'm not sure if I typed this in correctly but maybe its understandable. I had a head, cervical, and thoracic MRi today and I am very tired. Thanks, Lily
I hope your new neuro is on top of everything.I would wait for a diagnosis and then I would send your previous neuro a letter.he took an oath to help his patients, not dismiss them.
You definatly meet the criteria scores. You don't have to have a abnormal spinal and many Drs look for that.I hope you get your MRI results soon.
