Hi Lostifound. Sorry for the delay in reply. I've not noticed my skin improving at all. I've been on Avonex premixed, Betaseron, and now I'm on Avonex that I have to mix myself. Still have Super Duper Dry flakey, gross aligator like skin. Oh man do I know what you mean about that salt water thing. BUT, when I was younger and we moved to FLA for a summer, my doc told my Mom that Salt water is one of natures best things. It burns at first if your skin is dry and cracked getting in, but if you moisturize getting in and out, it will REALLY help your skin. It helped mine quite a bit. It's part of the reason I don't have a bunch of scars from scratching when I was little. My Mom used to leave me to play in the water for a while because it would help heal up the sores. Then rinse me off and put lotion on me and I'd be good for another week.
Now, I've had exzema since I was a toddler. I was in the hospital in a "plastic bubble" type of a crib because mine was so bad at that time they had never seen a case so bad they didn't know what to do with me. I was in and out of the children's hospital for like the first 3 years of my life until they could find a way to help me and stop the exzema from spreading on my body. They did refer to it as an immune disorder even way back then. Late 60's early 70's. So it is possible that there may be a link. Hmmmmm, good question, I've often wondered that myself.
