Does your Doctor Actually Call you Back?? - Multiple Sclerosis Message Board

So again, my story, numb right hand for 3 months...Went through EMG, normal, Cervical MRI normal, bloodwork normal...Got brain MRI...Abnormal. 5 lesions. Had an evoked potential last friday and will have LP next week.. Left message for my doc about evoked potential to get results. No call back. Am seeing him next Thursday for LP so will probably convey results then. Do your docs ACTUALLY call you back with test results or do they not?? I want to know my results and no one is supposed to give you them except your doc! How is your luck with that?

It took me 6 months to be seen by the neurologist who finally diagnosed me and I would walk through fire for him. He calls me back with every test result, suggestions and to check on how I am doing. He has called me (from the hospital) at 7 in the evening and on Saturdays. I don't think he ever sleeps or goes home. His staff says all his patients LOVE him.

My neuro calls me back with all test results and he returns calls when I call him.Most people like my neuro,he's definatly good DR.

Super,

Its a good practice for everyone to get copies of there records,sometimes,especially the DRs don't always disclose everything on MRI's or they'll say its normal,but when you look at a bottom of a test it'll say it can't rule this or that out.

Hoping you find better DRS.

I called my docs office again for results of my Evoked Potential. The secretary said the results were in, and she would have the doc call me. Then she said "If it was anything important, I am sure he would have called." Well, he STILL hasnt called back even after she said he would call. Should I assume the results are normal?? ARGH! Doctors are so aggravating...What makes SO many of them think they are superior to everyone else?? I mean, I am a lawyer and I ALWAYS return my clients phone calls and emails... And THIS is a matter of someones health. You would think they would be more sensible...
