Is that common? My mother got it in 1985 my dad and his brother in 91/92 now my older brother is being treated for it and from taking care of my granfather on my dads side I think he had it as well. just by comparing how he walked with the way my father did after getting it. what are my chances? I have had tests both in Chicago and another place in IL and they found nothing, Is it just something that shows up?

also I have one more question. My mom how lives alone has an oppurtunity to have here help and her helps bf move into the house. there is plenty of room and they won't really have to share any space. any warning on doing this or is it pertty common? do we make them sign a lease? I don't want them to take advantage of her. any input will be helpfull.

There are a few here that have parents and siblings that have MS.Usually it don't run like that in family trees.I have read that in scotland there are several families that have had MS run through the family trees.
My grandmother may of had MS.She passed away before the use of MRI's came available.They beleived that she had many strokes,but many family members looking back now don't think so.I have had several ancestors that had MS.
With my MS I noticed symptoms here and there and going back through the years there was many of symptoms that could of been related.My first attack was in 1998 and my second was last year.I was dx'd in June.With this disease some are hit hard right off the bat,others have many symptoms but not DX'd until 3 -5 years down the road.
