The Amanatidine you mention is usually given for ms related fatigue.
Constipation is common in ms.My Doctor treats me with over the counter stool softner without the laxative in them.
There is a medical test, series of x rays. You swallow a capsule with about 24 rubber bands that will show on x ray.You take a stomach x ray called KUB at start test .Then a x ray each day for 3 days. The rubber bands show up on x ray. They can tell how the muscles are moving products through your body by number and position of rubber bands each day.
The test showed how I was hanging up and muscle not moving on my right side so he gave me stool softner and a medicine to speed up flow of products through system to stop my pain.
It is my opinion this simple x ray testing is a great thing.,Doing a colonscopy and other type invasive procedures will not show the way muscle push in your body.I went through all kinds of gi testing for the constipation, before was diagnosed as improper muscle fuction on my right side due to ms,and the tets was so simple, after I had many complicated test to rule out more serious illness as cause.
